  • Take a leadership role in the preparation of underwriting for new investments, including conducting market analyses, preparing comprehensive financial models, and presenting recommendations regarding potential opportunities to senior management
  • Prepare investment memoranda for both the internal investment committee as well as prospective external equity partners and lenders
  • Manage due diligence efforts including physical and environmental investigations, survey, title, and legal documentation as well as post-closing activities
  • Oversee ongoing asset management responsibilities, including investor reporting, attending OAC and partnership meetings, site visits
  • Work closely with senior management on capital raising efforts for the business, including preparation of offering materials, investor presentations, and coordination of investor due diligence
  • Build a network within the industry through networking events, meetings, and involvement in real estate trade organizations


  • Undergraduate degree in a related field is required; a graduate degree or professional designation such as the CFA or CPA is desirable but not required
  • Minimum 1-3 years of work experience in the real estate industry, preferably with exposure to real estate acquisitions, investments, investment banking and/or development
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel for financial analysis and Word/PowerPoint to prepare offering memoranda and other professional presentations
  • Ability to conduct and synthesize market research, with exposure to and knowledge of a range of asset classes and geographical markets across Canada and the United States considered an asset
  • Thrives under pressure and enjoys contributing to team goals while having the ability to independently manage multiple tasks and problem solve with strong attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an interest in building industry relationships
